The Marxist-aligned LSM was founded by anthropologist Donald Barnett in 1968 to support anti-imperialist resistance movements in former colonized African nations. This issue includes a pro-Eritrean-independence editorial, an interview with Australian journalist Wilfred Burchett, and a feature article on "Zimbabwe's Future: Neocolonialism or Independence?"
