The story of a little horse, a duchess and the circus, featuring absolutely beautiful color lithographs by Rojankovsky, printed by the Domino Press – which sought the highest quality illustrations to pair with the text for their children's books, like its famous first book, DANIEL BOONE (illustrated by Rojankovsky).
Averill's letter refers to a book from her career after she returned from Paris, when she became famous for her books on cat subjects. The letter evinces pleasure in the recipient's reading of Averille's cat books, and informs her of more being sent: "These are sent you with the compliments of the grateful Cat Club."
