Guertik was a Russian émigré artist living in Paris in the 1930s: it was artists like Guertik, Nathalie Parain, Alexandra Exter, Feodor Rojankowsky, and Georges Cherkessof, working with avant-garde Constructivist, Dadaist, and Minimalist art philosophies, that gave the Père Castor books their greatest distinction and gained them long-lasting fame. A nice copy.
