"Baseball Kids are never blue, / Always ready to tell stories to you."
This rather surreal trio of stories features a cast of six humanized baseballs, and follows their hijinx in the off-season. Written during the "golden age" of Negro League baseball, this title acknowledges the talent of Black players while consistently placing Ginger and his sister Gin the Black baseballs in positions of inferiority to the white Baseball Kids. An interesting reflection of the growing popularity of baseball in the US. These shape books are in exceptionally sharp condition.
