This charming title features the stories "The Lost Lamb," "Birds and Beasts," and "Willie & Mary's First Day at School," as well as an illustrated alphabet called "The Alphabet House." The brightly colored plates by noted London printer Kronheim & Co. depict exotic animals, children at play, and the home life of the middle class. It would have been quite a visual treat for its first owner, and continues to delight today.
