First printing of this collection of short stories, featuring both Miss Marple and Poirot, published in this form only in the US.
THE WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION
While Christie is better known for her full-length novels, her shorter fiction retains all the sparkling dialogue and careful construction for which she is known. In a modern introduction to her Poirot short stories, Charles Todd asserts that "it is here [...] that the Christie fan and the Poirot aficionado alike find him at his best." In the UK, these stories appeared across three different collections; this particular collection is unique to the US. A nice copy.
