First printing of this Kinsey Millhone mystery, in which the detective is framed and must unravel the layers of fabricated evidence against her.
Fine in about-fine jacket.
"E" IS FOR EVIDENCE
"I dearly love being in places I'm not supposed to be."
In this installment, the mystery takes on a BIG SLEEP undertone while Millhone navigates the agendas of various people in a rich family, whose drama becomes hers when she is framed as part of the investigation. Readers also meet Millhone's second husband, and learn firsthand why he is husband no longer. As usual for this series, class elements play a role in the unfolding events, complicating Millhone's ability to exonerate herself. A typically great Alphabet Series entry.
