Rare complete set of the Tribal Press brief novels and novel-like prose experiments, by a variety of avant-garde poets.
Very good plus.
"Fuck you, Norman," she bellowed to the receding figure on the ground below. "Fuck you!"<br />(from ADIEU, NORMAN by Marjorie Simon)<br /><br />alternately: "Nabit believed people were languages. And he liked languages." (from THE STORY OF NABIT, Howard McCord)
Twenty-three "one-page novels" (though given the predominance of poets here really closer to prose poems), each originally issued separately as a monthly limited-edition broadside by The Tribal Press, assembled chronologically in this rare (probably unique) handmade collection: by Howards Norman and McCord, Fielding Dawson, Theodore Enslin, Dan H. McLachlan, Bruce Severy, Carol Bergé, Shirley R. Powell, Madison Morrison, Louis Delpino, Barry Eisenberg, Russell Edson, Marjorie Simon, Claudia Dobkins, Susu Jeffrey, Michael Gorman, Phil Smith, Laura Chester, and D. Clinton (McCord and Powell each contributed multiple titles, accounting for the differing totals of novels and writers.) As individual publications, issued generally in editions of 100, each one-page novel is scarce; OCLC records no holdings of this or any similar full collection.
