1794) from its reconstruction and redesign in 1854 through the turn of the century compiled from the theatre's records. The Boston Theatre was host to the major performers of the day, including Edwin Booth, Sarah Bernhardt, and Maurice Barrymore. Heavily illustrated with hundreds photographs from the era, it remains a significant resource, not only of Boston theater history, but of the American stage as well. [Baker p. 177].

Uncommonly well-kept example of this large book typically found in much poorer condition. Limited edition of 160 numbered copies, this #100. SIGNED, as called for, by Tomkins and Kilby to limitation page. 551pp.
