Handsomely bound, and quite readable. Translation of the MEMOIRES of Count Philbert de Gramont, written by his brother-in-law Antoine Hamilton. Illustrated throughout with tipped-in wood engravings by Wilfred Jones.
First Edition. thus London: John Lane The Bodley Head Ltd., 1928. Hardcover. 8vo. Full green leather with gilt-stamped title to spine. All edges gilt. Very good. Moderate scuffing and edgewear to boards. Owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Light touches of toning to endpapers. Text block remains mostly clean and bright, if a touch darkened. Good and sound. 230pp.
