First issued from 1779 to 1781, scarce in this edition, with one copy found via OCLC, at the British Library. A lovely set.
London: Printed by Luke Hansard, 1806. Full title: The Lives of the Most Eminent English Poets. With Critical Observations of Their Works: A New Edition Corrected In Three Volumes. Three 12mo volumes. Contemporary quarter green goatskin, marbled paper boards. Solidly very good overall. All three vols. show moderate rubbing to boards, small corner dents and edgewear. First volume has lengthy penciled notations to two preliminary blanks. All have light foxing to endpapers and prelims, but majority of text blocks clean, if a shade foxed here and there. A handsome set. 408pp. (Vol. I); 353pp. (Vol. 2); 337pp. (Vol. 3).
