Contains many photos of King in full costume, perhaps shot for his talent portfolio, with a few candid shots of his performances -- mostly office parties, it appears, and an outdoor event where he faced off with a Hulk Hogan lookalike. King appears to have been in either late high school or early college (several photos show him playing team football, and one clipping shows him in costume as court jester at the West Hills College Madrigal Feast), so we have to imagine his impersonation gigs were born of fandom as much as monetary reward (several images of what appears to be the real Mr. T further bear this out). In addition to shots from his stage performances (including a "Who's on First" routine), the album also features King with his mother, brother, and sister, with a few shots of an apparent girlfriend. Your cataloguer will now attempt to resist the urge to work "pity the fool" into this description.
[Pasadena & Los Angeles]: n.p, [mid 1980s]. Hardcover. 4to. Commercial spiralbound leatherette album containing 20 stiff tan leaves with transparent plastic coverings, in which are enclosed 25 B&W photographic film prints, 24 in color, 13 polaroids, three signed headshots from fellow actors (plus one of the compiler), two newspaper clippings, and one business card. Very good overall. Several blank spaces indicate a few perished prints. Some looseness to boards, general wear and soil to several points. About very good. Photos are clean.
