"Son âme produit des étincelles d'or."
Beautiful catalogue of Miró's 1962 retrospective exhibition, illustrated with ten color lithographs specially produced for the catalogue (including four fold-out plates). Introduced by Jean Cassou, poet and first director of the Musée d'Art Moderne, who writes glowingly of the "genius of the Iberian Peninsula" and the "purity" of Miró's soul, which gives off "sparks of gold".
Paris: Ministère d'Etat Affaires Culturelles, 1962. 8.25'' x 6.25'' Original pictorial wrappers. Covers and eight color lithographs by Miró, including four double-page fold-out plates. 80 pages, followed by black and white plates. Spine sunned and creased. Moderate soil and wear to covers. A little starting here and there.
