P. F. Volland, the Chicago-based publishing powerhouse of the first half of the 20th century, featured many of the period's most significant authors and artists in attractive, high-quality productions. This edition of MOTHER GOOSE stands out from their usual fare in its size and scope, being quite a bit larger than their other titles and with color illustrations on every page. The art of Frederick Richardson, noted for his work with L. Frank Baum, lends the title a nostalgic quality. A beautiful copy, well preserved in its original box.
