Scarce and beautiful Hebrew alphabet book, each page with a magnificent full-color illustration by noted Art Nouveau artist Z'ev Raban of the Bezalel school of art, founded by Boris Schatz and Ephraim Moses Lilien.
Berlin: Hotsaʼat "ha-Sefer" 1923. 9.5'' x 6.5''. Original quarter cloth, paper pictorial boards. Printed on heavy coated paper mounted on tabs. Each letter of the Hebrew alphabet presented in gilt, with text on the bottom of the page. Printed in Germany. Expert repairs to hinges, spine, and corners, some soiling to boards, very faint marginal toning to leaves. Some faint offsetting of images, a few leaves with barely visible scratches.
