First edition of this charmingly odd book of poetry about humanized kitchen implements as they engage in various activities, illustrated with chromolithographs.
Very good plus.
TIN TANS AT PLAY
"It is the rule in Tin Tan land, / That when the bell tolls eight, / They hustle into dreamy land, / before it is too late."
This title sees the TIN TANS venture beyond the kitchen into "Mr. Joseph Brown's strawberry patch" for a game of lawn tennis between an English cup and an American spoon, in addition to getting into a variety of cooking-based mischief. TIN TANS AT PLAY is the second and final title in the rather surreal TIN TAN series, written and illustrated by husband and wife team E. Tschantré Jr. and Gracia Kasson.
