NOTE: Email is by far the best way to get in touch about books for sale. Instructions follow. Please do not call as we will almost certainly refer you back to this page.

We are always buying books, from individual titles to entire collections. If you are considering selling, send us an email with the following information to

As listed on the title page only:

  1. Author
  2. Title
  3. Publisher
  4. Place of Publication
  5. Date of Publication

 Please also note:

  1. The presence of a dust jacket or slipcase
  2. The type of binding (approximate description)
  3. The overall condition (e.g. "fine"; "very good"; etc.), noting especially any damage or wear
  4. Whether the item is signed or has any other unique characteristics

Images if you have them are also helpful.

If you have too many items to record, please choose 6-12 of what you consider the most noteworthy items and send us the information for those, noting the total number of items you have beyond that. Conversely, images of shelves and bookcases can also help us determine if a collection might be right for us.

All submissions that include this information will receive a reply within 3-5 business days. If you do not hear back from us within that time frame, please feel welcome to ping us -- we receive many emails, but will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

Please note that we cannot offer casual appraisals of books you may have (i.e. "What's my book worth?"). The Rare Book and Manuscripts Section of the American Library Association, however, maintains an excellent resource titled Your Old Books, which may answer many of your questions.
