Brilliant lithographs of Dufy's work, with a preface by Jean Cassou and praise and reminiscences from the Fauvist's friends and colleagues. Among the contributors are Hans Hartung, Fernand Léger, and Jean-Louis Barrault, who writes of Dufy as a poet, an essentially French artist with the lightness of a winged creature, a maker of song: "Car il y a de la chanson dans ses tableaux."
