VASILISA THE BEAUTIFUL
Nonny Hogrogian, an Armenian-American from a family of artists, started her bibliographic career as a book designer for publisher Thomas Y. Crowell. It was a good choice: she earned another Caldecott Medal in 1972, and a Caldecott Honor in 1977. Many of her works incorporate aesthetics and stories from her Armenian heritage. Uncommon signed.
