This copy inscribed to the longtime owners of Bookshop Santa Cruz, Neal and Candy Coonerty, who hosted a large benefit event with King for the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium in 1994, shortly after the release of this book. A warm association, King has long been a vocal champion of local bookstores: "Independent bookstores are the lifeline of the intellect."
