Michael Hague's detailed art is very much in the aesthetic tradition of Golden Age artists like Howard Pyle and Arthur Rackham. His illustrations for collections of classic stories make his art a touchstone of many childhoods. IN THE SMALL, Hague's first graphic novel, reveals his darker side, as the shrunken humans violently do battle with the world around them (and occasionally each other).
