The main character, a male scientist, falls in love with a mysterious woman, only to learn that she is his old friend turned into a woman. Author Quinn was a frequent contributor to WEIRD TALES and particularly known for his psychic detective series with Jules de Grandin.
Composed in the 1940s but not published until after Quinn's death, ALIEN FLESH blends fantasy, orientalism, and eroticism, into a plot that grapples with gender identity. The evocative cover image captures all these elements, with a woman rising from a man's body over a hooded figure, designed by Stephen Fabian.
