Winner of the Yomiuri Award, WIND-UP BIRD was first published in Japanese in 1994-1995. Despite being one of Murakami's most critically acclaimed works, many copies of this US edition were remaindered; this is an unremaindered copy with no mark on the bottom edge.
First printing. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1997. 9.25'' x 6''. Original blue pictorial paper boards with design by Chip Kidd. In original unclipped ($25.95) color pictorial dust jacket also designed by Chip Kidd. [8], 611, [3] pages. Light bumping to spine ends of book and jacket. No remainder mark. Clean and tight.
