The earliest is a sample (stamped as such) of the Sunday Magazine of the BOSTON SUNDAY POST with part of the serialization of "Sir Nigel" (the only Doylean rather than specifically Sherlockian inclusion); the most recent is a copy of LIFE magazine special issue, "Sherlock Holmes: The Story Behind the World's Greatest Detective," dating from the era of BBC's SHERLOCK. Other highlights include the 1 May 1944 issue of LIFE with a story of Sherlock Holmes over the ages; a 1975 HISTORY OF SHERLOCK HOLMES IN STAGE, FILMS, T.V. & RADIO SINCE 1899; a 1976 issue of the OBSERVER with articles by Len Deighton and Graham Greene about Holmes; eight issues of the SHERLOCK HOLMES GAZETTE; and four issues of the SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE DETECTIVE MAGAZINE.
