The Secret Powers of Morgana Royal: packaging vibrational rays inside cylindrical tubes, upholstering her wonderful airship in rose-colored silk, and not getting married. Her hobbies: flying her wonderful airship to the lost Brazen City, being a natural blonde, and pitying women who get married. Her curse: to love a miserable would-be-Oppenheimer who dreams of reducing humanity to little piles of ash with his fancy bombs. Their bond: a shared love of Radio-activity. "Exactly what the author is driving at is not clear," Bleiler writes, an odd thing to say of an author who spells out her theses so explicitly and so often. "'Masters of the world' are poor creatures at best," Corelli concludes; best to fly away in your airship at midnight and leave them far behind you.
