Based on his series of profiles and articles for THE NEW YORKER, THE VOICE captures Sinatra at the height of his "bobby-soxer" fame, just before his dramatic 1950s reinvention at Capital Records. Kahn's biography remains a relevant source. Uncommon signed by the author, and genuinely rare signed by Sinatra, especially with a contemporary inscription. A very early signature in an important document from the career of one of the 20th century's greatest vocalists.

Signed by Kahn on the front endpaper; inscribed by Sinatra below: "To Kenneth E. Crauch - / With thanks - and - / Best Wishes / Sincerely / Frank Sinatra / 1948." Jacket lightly toned along top edge. Minor rubbing, edgewear. Book with touches of shelfwear. Overall, clean and sound.
