"Some of our strangest actions are also our most deeply characteristic: secret desires remain weak fantasies unless they pervade a will strong enough to carry them out."
The much-acclaimed Harrison's LEGENDS OF THE FALL is best known for featuring the novella that would serve as source material for the three-time Academy Award-nominated Edward Zwick film of the same name. The story follows the three Ludlow brothers of Montana across 50 years of their lives. The film — starring Brad Pitt, Aidan Quinn, and Henry Thomas as the brothers and Anthony Hopkins as their father — would take home the Oscar for best Cinematography, a testament to the power of Harrison's earthy prose and evocative landscapes.
