O'Donnell first came up with the idea of "a woman strong-arm character, and immediately found himself taken over by Modesty Blaise." First begun as a comic strip, its success led to a series of books, short stories, and films. In this first book, a mission to undermine the heist of millions of pounds worth of diamonds takes her from London through Europe to Cairo. It famously makes an appearance in the film PULP FICTION. A beautiful copy with a memorable jacket, quite scarce signed.
