"Well... / There we were. / We were working like that / And then who should come up / But the CAT IN THE HAT!"
Doing chores is never simple when THE CAT IN THE HAT is participating. Published only a year after his first outing, THE CAT IN THE HAT COMES BACK! finds the Cat "assisting" his two young friends as they try to clean their bathtub, with predictably silly results. The Cat became the mascot of Dr. Seuss's brand, appearing in numerous titles over the years. This copy comes directly from the stock of Aleph-Bet Books, the firm of Seuss bibliographers Helen Younger and Marc Younger.
