A collection of articles Ephron wrote for magazines such as ESQUIRE and published just after her departure from THE NEW YORK POST, WALLFLOWER includes several classic pieces, including "The Food Establishment," as well as her biting takes on Ayn Rand ("most of Ayn Rand's heroes act with a strange kind of simplicity, particularly when what they are doing is of a complex nature") and Helen Gurley Brown ("As it happens, Helen Gurley Brown cries quite a lot"). Though often described as her debut, WALLFLOWER is actually Ephron's second book, after her unauthorized 1968 biography of Johnny Carson (AND NOW...HERE'S JOHNNY!). A rare signed example from the future writer of WHEN HARRY MET SALLY and director (and writer) of SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE.
