"Keep it in a handy place. It could save you great anxiety."
Published by QUEEN'S QUARTERLY (later QQ), the GUIDEBOOK presents a series of Q&A's on such topics as hygiene, drugs and aphrodisiacs, sexual health and disease, masturbation, gay sex practices, and diet and exercise. Explicitly illustrated throughout with some of QQ's beefcake photography, the tone is both light and informative. ("Do battery operated vibrators work?" "If the batteries are fresh.") Uncommon; OCLC locates only about a dozen scattered holdings. An ephemeral, pre-AIDS gay sex guide.
