"The ultimate paper dolls in both artistry and magnificent color." – Blair and Margaret Whitton
Part of Raphael Tuck & Sons' "Artistic Series" of paper dolls, BELLE OF THE SOUTH was available as a blonde or as a brunette (this copy features the latter). There were also BELLES of the West, Newport, and Saratoga, each with mind-blowingly puffy mutton sleeves, the height of late Victorian fashion. The outfits all feature high necks, which can be slipped under the doll's chin as an additional point of attachment.
