"No matter where There is, when you arrive it becomes Here."
Set in the Tolkien-esque Land Between the Mountains, GAMMAGE follows a group of ostracized outsiders as they eventually save the community that cast them out. Written in an America increasingly preoccupied with conformity, the book's protagonists are not rebels for rebellion's sake. They are simply themselves, the book a fable of acceptance and a celebration of differences. A sequel, THE WHISPER OF GLOCKEN, followed five years later. A quiet classic.
